Te Whare o Te Whakaiti is our larger blanket with a characteristically strong design using thicker yarn.  The Jacquard weave structure resembles the feel of our traditional muka kaitaka.   Made using 100% New Zealand Lambswool, 42 threads per square cm and 5 different weave structures it features a blanket stitch edge. It is lightly scoured and has a washed finish.  A slightly heavier weight and with a reversible pattern for twice the decorative potential. The 4 yarn colours used are a deep rusty red, rice ,timber and coal.

Wool blankets are among the most durable and desirable of all blankets. They're soft and warm, and are very difficult to stain or damage. Wool blankets are also very easy to care for and you don’t need to wash them often, in fact, it’s best to wash them sparingly and some guidelines recommend washing wool blankets once every three months.
