A symbol to inspire action. The star known as Antares, Rēhua is the deity of wisdom, medicine, and well-being and the sign of summer and its many species. This design hopes to inspire our people to action, to breathe life into our ideas and act upon our deep desire to explore beyond our borders. To be tenacious in our endeavours to grow and extend our boundaries, venturing forward in confidence with Rēhua, the deity of wisdom, the chief among the stars as our sigel.

Te Paki o Rēhua, a traditionally inspired blanket, has been brought to life using the Jacquard weave structure that is characterised by complex woven-in designs. Made using 100% New Zealand Lambswool, 35 threads per square cm and 5 different weave structures and features a decorative contrasting blanket stitch edge. It has gone through an open-width scouring process and has a soft natural hand-feel, with a reversible pattern for double the artistic appeal. The 4 yarn colour palette featured in this design are rusted ochre, summer turmeric, alabaster and heartwood.

Wool blankets are among the most durable and desirable of all blankets. They're soft and warm, and are very difficult to stain or damage. Wool blankets are also very easy to care for and you don’t need to wash them often, in fact, it’s best to wash them sparingly and some guidelines recommend washing wool blankets once every three months.

Check out our product care page for further information on how to care for your blanket.
