Inspired by traditional kahu kaitaka and Mokunui (Hawaii), this kaitaka huaki inspired design is an ode to the ambitious leaders, the brave, te kura i maia, the courageous, the visionaries who look beyond the horizon.

Inspired by traditional kahu kaitaka and Mokunui (Hawai'i), this kaitaka huaki inspired design is an ode to the ambitious leaders, the brave, te kura i maia, the courageous, the visionaries who look beyond the horizon.

It’s also a quiet encouragement to take time for ourselves, which also requires courage, the courage to say no, as to sustain others, first we must sustain ourselves.

Te Kura Nui is made using 100% New Zealand Lambswool and five different weave structures to complement the design. It has been milled and slightly raised to provide a soft feel. It has a  reversible pattern for twice the decorative potential. The yarn colours used are Teak, Crimson, Chestnut and Sand.

Wool blankets are among the most durable and desirable of all blankets. They're soft and warm, and are very difficult to stain or damage. Wool blankets are also very easy to care for and you don’t need to wash them often, in fact, it’s best to wash them sparingly and some guidelines recommend washing wool blankets once every three months.

Check out our product care page for further information on how to care for your blanket.

We work with a small but mighty mill based in Aotearoa (New Zealand) and our delivery times are dependent on the number of orders we have at any one time.

When you purchase this blanket, you will receive an order confirmation and we will be able to update you with a more specific delivery time.
